Alma June (Brown) Edgington

Alma June Edgington, age 79, Harrodsburg, widow of Robert Lee Edgington, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Ephraim McDowell RMC in Danville. Born June 1, 1944 in Harrodsburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late Omer G. and Lucy (Lane) Brown. She was a graduate of Mercer County High School, received an associate degree in business from Midway University, was a retired bookeeper for State Farm Insurance in Celina, TN, loved to garden, being with family and friends. Alma was a member of the Celina United Methodist Church in Celina, TN.

Survivors include: one daughter: Jennifer Richie of Harrodsburg; two sons Patrick (Melinda) Richie of Marion, IN and Robert (Erin) Edgington Jr. of Shelton, WA; six sisters Bernice Lands of Danville, Mary Rose Smith and Doris Brown both of Harrodsburg, Phyllis Hathaway of New Braunfels, TX, Ila Homsher of Pacifica, CA and Lana Callahan of Fort Collins, CO.  Other than her husband and parents Alma was preceded in death by two brothers Omer G. Brown Jr. and Larry Wayne Brown.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Sims Funeral Services. The burial will be in Springhill Cemetery in Harrodsburg. The visitation will be Saturday, from 12 noon until the time of services at Sims Funeral Services. 

Pallbearers are Scott Brown, Luke Stamps, Bob Griggs, Troy Lands, A.J. Lands, and Brent Lands.
