Teresa Kay (Huffman) Shuman

Teresa Kay Huffman Shuman, age 62, Harrodsburg, died Monday, November 20, 2017 in Harrodsburg. Born November 17, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Dudley and Gertie (Elliott) Huffman. She was a graduate of Mercer County High School, received her LPN degree from the Danville School of Practical Nursing, was a retired nurse at the VA Medical Center on Leestown Road in Lexington, KY, liked spending a lot of time with her grandchildren and was a member of the Cornishville Christian Church in Cornishville, KY.

Survivors include: two daughters Crystal (Stanley) McCarty of Cornishville, KY and Shakeela (Chris) Howard of Harrodsburg, KY; one brother, Junior (Tina) Huffman of Harrodsburg, KY and four grandchildren Steven McCarty, Aaron McCarty, Jacob Howard and Desi Shuman. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Stephanie Shuman.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Sims Funeral Services by Brother Steve Pater. Burial will be in Cornishville Christian Church Cemetery in Cornishville. KY. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, November 24, 2017 at Sims Funeral Services.

Pallbearers are: Junior Huffman, Chris Howard, Steven McCarty, Jeff Foster, Brian Huffman, Jack Reed, and Brian Dinsmore.
