Robert Meredith Yeast

Robert Meredith (“Robbie” ~ "Rosa") Yeast, age 62, Harrodsburg, son of the late Francis Leroy and Catherine Dunn Yeast passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the Ephraim McDowell RMC in Danville after a long illness. Born December 24, 1955 in Harrodsburg, KY, he attended Harrodsburg High School where he was an outstanding athlete having participated in football, basketball, track and baseball; a former horse groomsman for Arrowhead Farm in Harrodsburg, KY and he liked reading books, listening to all types of music. He was avid Green Bay Packers football enthusiast, a St. Louis Cardinal baseball fanatic and was a member of the Centennial Baptist Church in Harrodsburg, KY.

Survivors include: two daughters Dawn Baker and Meredith "Nikki" Baker both of Lexington, KY; one son Shawntae Baker of Danville, KY;  two sisters Cathy (Sam) Wheat and Bobbi (Nate) Bean both of Harrodsburg, KY; four brothers William "Bo" Yeast, Steve (Gwen) Yeast, Nick (Debra) Ricardo Yeast Sr. all of Harrodsburg, KY and George (Dana) Yeast of Danville, KY; four grandchildren Kamri Baker of Philadelphia, PA, Kathrine Baker, Robert Baker and Kendall Baker all of Lexington, KY. Other than his parents, Robbie was preceded in death by three sisters, Carol Short, Sarah Ellis, Alicia Smith, and a half-brother, Butch Payne.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm, Monday, April 16, 2018 at Sims Funeral Services by Donald Wayne Smith and Dan Yates. Visitation will be Monday, April 16, 2018 from 11:00 am until the time of services at Sims Funeral Services in Harrodsburg, KY. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Harrodsburg, KY.

Pallbearers are: Jewell Wayne Brown, Trevor Short, Nicholas Short, Donovan Ellis, Craig Yeast, Lewis Payne, Nick Yeast II, James Yeast. Honorary bearers are his former teammates and coaches at Harrodsburg High School, along with Curtis Johnson.
