Robert Carl May

Robert Carl May, age 85, Harrodsburg, husband of Merle Jane Simkins May, died Monday, November 13, 2017 at his home in Harrodsburg. Born August 2, 1932 in Carnegie, PA, he was son of the late Jacob L. May and Cathrine Brunner May. He made his career by serving our country in the US Navy, then became a power plant employee and also served as a minister. He loved to play golf, and go hunting and fishing.

Survivors besides his wife include: two daughters, Mary (John) Antunes of Wyoming and Tina Jenkins of Harrodsburg, KY; four sons, Ron May of Montana, Eric (Erin) May of Mt. Sterling, KY, Jay Ziegler and Dale (Gloria) Ziegler both  Harrodsburg, KY; two brothers, Wayne (Kate) May and Austin (Dee) May both of Pennsylvania; three sisters, Patty Hines of Maine, Laura Bubay of California and Rose (Ralph) Rowe of Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jacob May and Clarence May Jr. and one sister, Agnes Beck.

The family designated cremation and there are no services planned at this time.
