Peggy Ford Waggener, age 81, Burgin, wife of James William Waggener Sr., died Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Ephraim McDowell Haggin Memorial Hospital in Harrodsburg. Born March 15, 1938 in Buena Vista, KY, she was the daughter of the late Hubert and Sadie Love (Ruble) Ford. She graduated from Burgin High School and received her accountant’s degree from Fugazzi Business College. She was a bookkeeper and accountant for the Burgin Independent School District and Shakertown, was a member of the Farm Bureau, The Young at Heart Club, liked to cook and share with her family and friends, was an avid reader and a member of the Burgin Baptist Church.
Survivors other than her husband include: a son James William (Anita) Waggener, Jr. of Simpsonville, KY; a daughter Sarah (Stanley) Bowling of Manchester, KY; two grandchildren Mark William Waggener and Adam Waggener both of Simpsonville, KY; two step grandchildren Steven (Crystal) Bowling and family and Sondra (Rex) Bray and family all of Manchester, KY; a sister Hannah Robb of Cleveland, TN; a host of loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Peggy was preceded in death by a brother Hubert "Buddy" Ford.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Sims Funeral Services.
