Loraine Thomas Ross

Loraine Thomas Ross, age 92, Harrodsburg, husband of Annell Yeaste Ross, died Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. Born September 18, 1925 in Willisburg, KY, he was the son of the late Thomas and Addie Lee (Oldham) Ross. He was a veteran of the US Army having served during WW-II, was a self-employed farmer, a former employee of Hatchett’s Auto Parts, he loved to socialize with friends and neighbors, was a member of the Willisburg church of Christ, and attended the Harrodsburg church of Christ.

Survivors other than his wife include one daughter: Pamela (Lloyd) Poynter of Harrodsburg, KY. Loraine was preceded in death by three sisters: Julia Higginbotham, Margaret Matherly and Jean Fields; four brothers: Stanley Ross, Wilbur Ross, Charlie Ross and Ansel Ross.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm, Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Sims Funeral Services by Raymond Castillo. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery in Harrodsburg, KY.

Pallbearers are: Buddy Shirley, Mel Farmwald, Buddy Steele, Donnie Pinkston, Bruce Parrott, and Ron Leasure.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 9:00 am until the hour of service at Sims Funeral Services.
