James Michael Doughty

James Michael Doughty, age 62, of Danville, husband of Connie (Cox) Doughty, died Friday, December 16, 2016 at home in Danville.  He was born December 4, 1954 in Harlan, KY. He was the son of Freda (Sergent) Doughty and the late James Preston Doughty. He was a self- employed painter, loved to play the drums, all genres of music and was an avid fan of the University of Louisville Cardinals. 

Besides his wife and mother he is survived by two daughters, Beverly (Tim) Smith of Harrodsburg, KY, Maggie Doughty of Danville, KY and one step-daughter, Jaime Bristow of Richmond, KY, two sons, Michael (Peggy) Duran and James Lennon Doughty both of London, KY; one step son, Darrell Anglin of Waco, KY, three brothers Mark (Tammy) Doughty, Marvin (Alisha) Doughty and Bill "Boots" (Sheri) Doughty all of Harrodsburg, KY; seven grandchildren,  seven step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren. Also surviving is his loyal dog “Spark”.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Sims Funeral Services with Bro. Harold Best officiating. Burial will be in the Springhill Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 12 noon until the hour of service.

Pallbearers are: Dustin Tipton, Ronnie Thornton, Jason Doughty, Tanner Doughty, Brandon Doughty, Derrick Doughty and James Price.
