Gussie Faye (Howard) Burns

Gussie Faye Burns, age 81, Harrodsburg, formerly of Waynesburg, widow of Franklin D. Burns, died Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Ephraim McDowell RMC in Danville, KY. Born April 7, 1936 in Versailles, KY, she was the daughter of the late Harney and Grace Belle (Webber) Howard. She was a graduate of Salvisa High School in Salvisa, KY, a self-employed housewife who sold many household retail items to the public and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion # 345.

Survivors include: one daughter, Debra Buck, Johnson City, TN; three sons: Darrell (Hattie) Keeling of Versailles, KY, Warren Keeling of Springfield, KY and Donald (Dawn) Keeling of Lawrenceburg, KY; two sisters Doris Karnezis of Indianapolis, IN and Patsy (Forrest) Turner of Versailles, KY. Other than her husband, Gussie was preceded in death by a daughter Dianne Simpson, a brother Harney Gill Howard, Jr. and six sisters, Dorothy Cox, Viola Beasley, Betty Scrogham, Gertrude Smith, Etta Harley, and Starlene Wiecek.

There will be no visitation or services as the family selected cremation.
