Donald R. Scott

Donald Ray Scott, age 79, Harrodsburg, died in 2014 at his residence in Harrodsburg.

Born January 26, 1935 in Greenville, KY, he was the son of the late Melvin Ezra and Josephine Spurlin Scott.   He served in the US Air Force, attended the University of Evansville where he was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, was a Northwestern Mutual Insurance Co. insurance agent, a member of the Kiwanis Club, Rotary Club, Free Masons and Shriners in Evansville, a Kentucky Colonel, and was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include two sisters: Dr. Nancy L. Scott, Lexington and Hilda Mittwede, Port St. Lucie, FL; 2 nieces, Jo Gardner Chonko, Lynn Haven, FL and Carla Tevis Andersen, New Smyrna Beach, FL; two nephews, Kurt William Mittwede, Port St. Lucie, FL and Thomas Joel Scott Lexington.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the Pavilion in the Springhill Cemetery with Henry Johnson officiating. Sims Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.
