Derick Vance Darland

Derick Vance Darland, age 61, of Harrodsburg, passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at UK Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington. Born September 30, 1956 in Harrodsburg, he was the son of Mildred Belcher of Harrodsburg and the late Norvie Darland. He attended Harrodsburg High School and was a self-employed drywall installer.

Survivors other than his mother include one daughter Margaret "Maggie" Darland of Danville, one sister Patricia Devine of Harrodsburg, three brothers Terry Darland of Deep Creek, Michael (Linda) Darland of Austin, TX and Steven (Lonita) Stratton of Dubois, PA.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Sims Funeral Services by Bro. John Kesel.

A gathering of family and friends will also be Tuesday from 10:00 am until 12 noon at Sims Funeral Services.
