Charles Clark Bugg, Jr., age 89, Harrodsburg, husband of Nellie Downey Bugg, died Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Charleston Health Care Center in Danville. Born September 28, 1928 in Dixville, he was son of the late Charles Clark Bugg Sr. and Srialda Jane (Pulliam) Bugg. He attended Martin and Rose Hill Schools both in Mercer County, was a former employee of Kraft Foods in Lawrenceburg, a self-employed farmer, a wonderful conversationalist and a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church.

Survivors other than his wife include: two sons, Roy (Jeanne) Bugg and Kelly (Mitzi) Bugg both of Harrodsburg; four grandchildren Tricia Russell, Saralyn (Nick) Collier, Randy (Springe) Bugg all of Harrodsburg and Clark (Beth) Bugg of Versailles; two step grandchildren, Brandon (Lynsey) Lane and Kacey Lane both of Harrodsburg; nine great grandchildren Kaylee Russell, Ashlee Rice, Blake Russell, Jaxson Bugg, Treyci Rice, Carson Bugg, Byron Collier, Madi Collier, and Curry Collier; five step-great grandchildren Wade Lane, Collin Lane, Cody Hamlin, Dylan Hamlin and Chloe Hamlin; three half-brothers and one half sister. He was preceded in death by one grandchild Scott McKinley Bugg, one step-great grandchild Lyndon Lane, one brother Edward Lee Bugg and four sisters Anna Mae Gibson, Betty Camic, Lillie Robinson and Ora Estell Bugg.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm, Thursday, May 10, 2018 at the Hopewell Baptist Church by Bro. Doug Wesley, Bro. John David Lane and Clark Bugg. Burial will be in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery in Mercer County. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 9, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Sims Funeral Services and Thursday from 7:30 am until 9:00 am at the funeral home and then from 10:30 am until the time of services at the Hopewell Baptist Church.

Pallbearers are: Randy Bugg, Clark Bugg, Jaxson Bugg, Carson Bugg, Nick Collier, Byron Collier and Blake Russell. Honorary bearers are: Don Stiglich, Rodney Thompson, Roy Lynn Freeman, Richard Dartt, Merritt Scott, Paul Wilson and members of Mr. Bugg’s Sunday School Class.
