Samuel Wentz Curry

Samuel Wentz Curry, age 81, Harrodsburg, KY husband of Ollie Mae Baxter Curry, died Monday, February 20, 2017 at VA Medical Center, Leestown Road in Lexington, KY. Born May 5, 1935 in Marlinton, WV, he was son of the late Albert and Sylvia Curry. He was a Sargent in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, was a self-employed carpenter and loved to hunt and fish.

Survivors other than his wife include: one daughter, Brenda (David) Sue White of Louisville, KY and two sons, Samuel (Myra) Wayne Curry of Renick, West Virginia and Paul (Alyssa) Curry of Georgetown, KY; one sister: Rachel Cleek of N.C. and one brother, John Curry of Perry, FL; fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Julia Mae Jackson, one brother, Albert Curry Jr. and two sisters, Rhea Wallace and Veda Wade.

Graveside services will be conducted, 11:00 am Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Mountain View Cemetery in Marlinton, West Virginia by Bro. Rick Bolton. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Marlinton, West Virginia with Military Honors. There will be no visitation. Sims Funeral services are in charge of local arrangements.
