Randall Franklin Darland

Randall Franklin Darland, age 83, Harrodsburg, widower of Alice Grubbs, died Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. Born March 13, 1934 in Battle, KY, he was the son of the late Winnie Franklin and Tressie (Mattingly) Darland, was a self-employed truck driver, loved to work in the garden, do yard work and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include: two daughters, Sandra (Scott) Michelle Peavler and Tammy Patterson both of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Evelon (Connie) Gillis of Harrodsburg and Lou Ella Coker of Cornishville; one brother, Leon (Wilma) Darland of Salem, IN; five grandchildren, Eric Peavler, Angelia Peavler, Melissa (Dustin) Wilson, Randy (Brandy) Darland and Tara (Chad) Trisler; three great grandchildren, Jaylin Michael Drury, Randell Kain Darland, Luca Baker; and several nieces and nephews. Randall was preceded in death by a daughter, Vicki (and son-in-law Jim) Fogt and a sister, Mary Darland.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 4 until 6 pm at Sims Funeral Services.
