James "Jim" Leonard Davis

  James Leonard "Jim" Davis, age 67, Harrodsburg, widower of Beverly Lynn Milton Davis, died Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at his home in Harrodsburg. Born July 18, 1948 in Harrodsburg, KY, he was the son of the late Joseph Leonard and Ella Mae (Bland) Davis. He was a 1966 graduate of Springfield High School, attended St. Catharine College near Springfield, former owner and operator of Jim’s Market on Main Street in Harrodsburg, and a retired sales representative for Diversey Wyandotte Corporation.  He and his late wife were child care providers in their home for many years.
          Survivors include: three daughters: Pamela (Bryant) Denise Merchant of Harrodsburg; Jaymie (Anthony) Lynn Young of Perryville and Luciana (John IV) Jo Hockersmith of Harrodsburg; one brother, Joe B.(Sandra) Davis of Springfield, one sister, Debbie (Dennis) Hise of Harrodsburg; six grandchildren, Jordan Merchant, Jennifer Merchant, Jaelyn Young, Kailey Young, John Hockersmith V and Luke Hockersmith.
           A memorial service will be conducted 6:00 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2016 at Sims Funeral Services by Bro. John Hockersmith III, Bro. Douglas Davis and Bro. Chris Orr. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery in Harrodsburg.
