James Franklin Williams

James Franklin Williams, age 81, of Harrodsburg, KY died Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at the Ephraim McDowell RMC in Danville. Born January 17, 1934 in Harrodsburg, he was son of the late Jim and Odessa Williams. He attended West Side School, served in the United States Air Force, worked as a mason, was an employee of the former Royalty-Keightley Lumber Yard and was member of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: two daughters: Juanelle (Gary) Brown and Jamie Williams both of Harrodsburg; three sons James F. Williams Jr. of Stanford, Winfield (Sandy) Williams and Caravan "Perry" Williams both of Harrodsburg; two sisters Linda Beasley of Cincinnati, OH and Frances Smith of Danville; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his former spouse Lillian Hayden. James was preceded in death by a son Scotland Williams, three daughters Odessa Winn, Evelyn Ryan, and Leslie Williams: five bothers, Homer Allen, Robert Allen, Van Allen, George Allen, and Winfield Allen and one sister Louise Allen.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Sims Funeral Services by Elder J. D. Short III. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Harrodsburg.

Pallbearers are: Bentley Jones, William Bartleson, Gary Honaker, Christian Jamal, Xavier Williams and Ricco Bowman.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
