Harold Thomas Sutherland

Harold Thomas Sutherland, 94, widower of Eudora South Dean Sutherland, died on Tuesday, January 17th at his home.  He was the son of the late Dr. John C. and Gertrude Sutherland and was preceded in death by one grandson, John A. Sparrow Jr.

He served in the army during World War II and went on to graduate from the Louisville School of Pharmacy.  He and his late wife owned and operated Sutherland Pharmacy for many years and he continued to work as a relief pharmacist until the age of 87.  He was a member of the Harrodsburg Church of Christ.

He is survived by three daughters and one son; Trudy Sutherland, Kathy White (Charlie), and Terry Sutherland (Ann Hunter Burton) of Harrodsburg and Anne Boggs of Charleston, S.C.  He is also survived by seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and nine great- great grandchildren.     

Visitation will be from 10:00 to 12:00 on Friday, January 20th at Sims Funeral Services with funeral services following conducted by Keith Greer.  Burial with military rites will be at Springhill Cemetery with the great grandsons serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Harrodsburg Church of Christ or to Heritage Hospice.
