Edward Douglas Cloyd
October 13, 1931 ~ November 14, 2017 (age 86) 86 Years OldEdward Douglas Cloyd, age 86, Harrodsburg, husband of Mary Maheras Cloyd, died Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at his home in Harrodsburg. Born October 13, 1931 in Parksville, KY, he was son of the late William James and Madge Lee (Baker) Cloyd. He was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War, a self-employed farmer and a member of the Bruner’s Chapel Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one daughter, Connie Joyce (Tom) Borbely of Oak Forest, IL; and one sister, Bette Jean Cloyd of Danville, KY; two grandchildren, Colleen (Trevor) Edmonson of Kankakee, IL and Kimberly (Greg) Howard of Conroe, TX and one great grandchild, Lucy Joyce Howard of Conroe, TX. Edward was preceded in death by two brothers, Junior Cloyd and Robert Carl Cloyd and two sisters, Shirley Ruth Long and Carolyn Ann Cloyd.
Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 am, Friday, November 17, 2017 at Sims Funeral Services by Bro. Tony Smith. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery in Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are: Bobby Cloyd, Roger Cloyd, Danny Cloyd, Mike Long, John Cora, Jim Long, and Tom Borbely.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Friday, November 17, 2017 from 8:00 am until the time of services at Sims Funeral Services.
