I had the privilege of working with Brock at North Washington and was blessed by his guidance. He was a man of integrity and his love for others was very evident in the way he treated everyone. He was a true friend who was always there when I needed an ear to listen. As assistant principal, one of his many duties was to oversee the athletic programs. I am the girls' basketball coach and he was always supportive and willing to lend a hand and ear when I needed him. His friendship was special and I am blessed to have been his friend. He touched many lives. I know Brock loved the Lord, and I pray God grants you the peace that only He can provide! Your family is in my prayers!

Brock was always a fun loving person whose smile and joy was contagious. He was a friend to all who knew him. I honestly don't think I had seen him since high school until my grandfather passed away in 2013, and during his visitation Brock made it a point to come out and say hi since he knew most all of us and our families. He didn't have to take the time do that, but that's the kind of person he was. I can't imagine your loss or the pain you are all going through. The Sims family is in my thoughts and prayers. I can't imagine losing a son, husband, brother, I worked with Mr. Sims (Brock) , as I called him, at Harlow I was in the cafeteria. He was such a kind and gentle young man. His mom was my school's secretary and his dad was my gym teacher in hs. So i know he was raised to be the great man that he was.
The students at Harlow literally worshipped this man. We could hear them in the gym everyday having fun. Brock was a great person inside and out and loved the students as much as they loved him. I remember when he first got his Cadillac CTS I told him that was one of my dream cars and he handed me the keys and said take it for a drive. Of course I declined but that was just the type of man Brock was he would go out of his way to help anyone and everyone. I was devestated when I heard the news. Why did GOD take such a great young man? All I know is they say the good die young. Well Mr. Sims I know you are in heaven because not only were you a good guy but you were a great person. You will be missed by so many. You and Coach Taco were such clowns at Harlow.
RIP Mr. Sims (Brock) gone but never forgotten.

I am the guidance counselor at Brock's school. My heart is breaking for you all and what you must be going through. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this very difficult time. On behalf of the staff at South I want you to sincerely know that we loved him and he will be missed by all of us at South. We loved to see him smile.
