Betty Dean Black

Betty Allen Black, age 71, widow of Robert Lee Black, died Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the Northside Health Care Center in Murfreesboro, TN. Born March 19, 1944 in Springfield, KY, she was daughter of the late George Richard and the late Corine Dean. She was a housewife, worked at Shakertown loved to draw, sing, cook, go fishing and was a member of the Centennial Baptist Church in Harrodsburg.
Survivors include: two daughters: Sheilda (Edward) Estill of South Bend IN, Victoria Dalee (Jefferey) Wilson of Harrodsburg, KY and two sons: Jeffrey (Gloria) Ladale Allen of Murfreesboro, TN, James Lee Allen of Harrodsburg, KY; three sisters: Louise Walker, Christine Edelen, Carolyn (Willie) Rivera all of Harrodsburg, KY and one brother: Robert Louis Dean of Harrodsburg, KY; four grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by a son Shelando Lee Dean, two brothers, George and Richard Dean, one sister Mary Andrews Vaughn and a grandchild, Tecember Jean Wilson.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm, Monday, October 5, 2015 at Centennial Baptist Church by Elder J. D. Short III. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Harrodsburg. Visitation will be Monday, October 5, 2015 from 11:00 am until the time of service at the church.
Pallbearers are: James Elery, Sylvester Young, Larry Andrews, Wayne Andrews, Richard "Tony" Dean, and Dee Dee Elery. Honorary bearers are Tyron Dean and Lamont Trigg.
